What Is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy and self-development model that says the mind is made up of different 'parts', like an inner family, each with its own role, emotions, and beliefs. IFS focuses on helping your core Self — the calm, compassionate, confident part of you — lead your internal system so wounded parts can heal. It is widely used for trauma healing, emotional regulation, and personal growth because it is non-pathologizing and assumes no part of you is broken or bad.
